My transitional phase.
Every single soul on earth has its own transforming period, may it be physically or mentally to a human or animal species. Well, I guess I was one of them to pass through that phase. It all started when me and my mom moved from Karnataka to Maharashtra. It seems to me that I was undergoing a really tough time firstly because I was neither good in Marathi nor in Hindi and secondly because I knew no one in my new school and obviously it took me and my mom a little while to settle there.
Before coming to my new school, all I had in my mind was to study well, score good grades and also I just wanted to make my mom proud! Well, since the atmosphere in my new school was completely different than that of my old school and also since the mental stage of students in 5th grade was equally comparable to that of a 9th grader, I became a spoilt kid!
Well, you might wonder in what ways I became a spoilt kid. So not only did I drop in my grades and almost stopped studying but also my behaviour started changing. My mom used to come home late from office and so I was playing with my friends all the time in the garden while actually I was supposed to study. My mental age was way more than what it was supposed to be and the worst part is that I was completely disrespectful towards my mom and showed more importance to my friends.
My mom became really worried and she spoke with me about all this. Even though I had changed and was almost not respectful towards my mom, I felt bad that I had hurt her feelings. So I tried and tried and tried again to regain my grades and improve my behaviour and finally you would not believe that I had actually changed back into my normal self!
Well, here comes the Important point. All I have learnt from this essay is that, friends might support us, help us and care for us in some harsh situations. However, our only friends who will support us, help us and care for us in all adverse situations are our beloved parents. Well, if you dont believe me just think who was responsible in bringing my own self back in this adverse situation!
